Area churches offer variety of Holy Week/Easter services
By Kathy Hills and Mimi Winter
Easter,
celebrating the resurrection of Jesus the Christ, is the most solemn and
important holiday for Christians. It falls this year on Sunday, April 8, in
both the
Eastern and Western rites of Christianity. Good Friday is April 6, with Holy
Saturday on April 7. As our churches reflect the diversity of our
neighborhoods, there is an equally diverse religious expression during this
holiday.
