
Theresa Durante dies at age 77
Theresa Durante (nee DeLeo), a long-time resident of the Near West Side community, died on Jan. 11. She was 77 years old.
Mrs. Durante was the wife of the late Carmen; mother of Laura and Robert (Tammy) Durante; grandmother of Kristin, Jenna, and Dana Durante; sister of Matthew (Madeline) DeLeo; and fond aunt of Yvonne Tagliere and many other nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said at Visitation Catholic Church in Elmhurst. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. Arrangements were made by Gibbons Funeral Home of Elmhurst.

Nicholas ‘Cheese Feet’ DeVito dies at age 80
Nicholas “Cheese Feet” DeVito, a life-long resident of the Near West Side community, died on Dec. 19, 2007. He was 80 years old.
Mr.
DeVito was the wife of Genevieve (nee Cozzi); father of Nicholas, Ronald
(Patricia) and Elizabeth; grandfather of Samantha, Michael, Michelle, Angela
(Frank) Pecoraro, Ronald Jr., Crystal and Shirley; and brother of Tony (the
late Frances) and the late Dominick (Jean) DeVito.
Mr. DeVito was employed for many years with the City of Chicago Bureau of Sewers and the Chicago Park District.
Services were held at Salerno’s Galewood Chapels, Ralph Massey Director. A Funeral Mass was said at St. Vincent Ferrer Church. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
