MetroPlace brings new development to Roosevelt and Western

MCL Companies has created the MetroPlace residential development near the Taylor Street business district, Tri-Taylor, and the Illinois Medical District. MCL has teamed with Brownstone Development to transform 6.2 acres of land into a new Chicago neighborhood near Roosevelt and Western Avenues. The project’s sales office is located at 2509 W. Grenshaw St.

“Today’s buyer is smart enough to invest in the city and wants it all,” said Dan McLean, MCL Cos. president. “They want a neighborhood, a home close to work, and the rich texture and tradition city life brings. MetroPlace buyers are minutes from everything¾schools, restaurants, blues clubs, bike paths, downtown¾and at home they have the lush surroundings of their quiet home and their landscaped yard. That’s having it all.”

Phase one of MetroPlace will consist of 56 single-family houses, townhouses, and condominiums as well as an extensively landscaped park for residents’ use.

Single-family houses and townhouses range from 2,864 to 3,052 square feet, with prices starting at $624,900. Two-bedroom condos run 1,320 to 1,370 square feet and start at $274,900.

All MetroPlace units feature nine-foot ceilings, two-panel painted interior doors with brushed chrome hardware, a gas fireplace with ceramic tile hearth and surround, and a security system.

MetroPlace is located near Taylor Street’s famed restaurants and a local Jewel/Osco and Starbucks. Other nearby amenities are the University of Illinois at Chicago campus, which offers numerous concerts and cultural events; Douglas Park, for outdoor enjoyment and recreation; and the Illinois Medical District and its many hospitals for medical care and emergency assistance.

The sales center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.metroplacechicago.com or call (312) 321-1400.
