Fauci has been “lying” to the American people about the COVID-19’s genesis, according to Rand Paul

Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky joined “Jesse Watters Primetime” to discuss the most recent developments from a Senate hearing intended to shed light on the COVID-19 outbreak.

NEW Fox News articles can now be heard on audio! On “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Wednesday, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, claimed that Dr. Anthony Fauci has been “lying to us” about the origins of the coronavirus.

RAND PAUL, SEN. We discovered that Dr. Fauci had been deceiving us. The three scientists concurred that this research was risky. Two out of the three people thought it was gain-of-function without a doubt. The third said that the research was risky and ought to have been reviewed by a committee. Even that wasn’t accurate when Dr. Fauci said, “Oh, we’ve evaluated this and the experts have looked at this, and they said its not gain-of-function.” After 2017, a committee was established to investigate this risky study. They never reviewed this research, therefore they didn’t even look at it. Nobody who looked at this objected that it wasn’t gain-of-function research. They didn’t even look it over.

The scientists today also revealed to us the covert nature of the committee charged with reviewing these viruses. The names are unknown to us. We have no records of their meetings, and we have no knowledge that they ever met. It is kept a secret. Congress is prohibited from knowing. Therefore, we are unsure if the committee genuinely exists. They have met three times, and there are thousands of ideas for gain-of-function research, as far as we know. They have only had three meetings and have only looked over three projects. So, even though we learnt a lot, I believe we also reinforced Dr. Fauci’s dishonesty. Yes, gain-of-function research was sponsored by the NIH. It was indeed hazardous. And yes, this was not reviewed. The study wasn’t reviewed by anyone. Indeed, a million people perished. Furthermore, Democrats continue to exhibit a striking lack of interest.
